Transforming UC Santa Barbara with Architectural Precast

UC Santa Barbara’s campus has been significantly upgraded with the inclusion of architectural precast elements in the Gervirtz Graduate School of Education, Social Sciences, Pollock Theatre, and Media Studies buildings. Kellman McKinnell & Woods Architects Inc. and McCarthy collaborated to implement architectural precast sills, caps, wall panels, window surrounds, and stair treads, transforming these facilities into modern, visually appealing structures. 

The architectural precast components were selected for their aesthetic versatility and durability. The sills, caps, and window surrounds add a touch of elegance and cohesiveness to the buildings’ exteriors, while the wall panels provide a robust and attractive facade. The inclusion of stair treads enhances both the functionality and appearance of the interior spaces.
