1700 Pavilion, located in the vibrant community of Summerlin, NV, is a premier 10-story Class-A office building that exemplifies cutting-edge commercial office building design. Designed by the renowned architectural firm Hart Howerton and constructed by Whiting Turner, this project showcases the superior advantages of precast construction, particularly for high-rise structures. Spanning an impressive 73,800 square feet, the building features 442 pre-glazed and pre-insulated GFRC (Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete) panels, highlighting Willis Construction’s expertise in delivering high-performance precast solutions. 

The decision to utilize pre-glazed and pre-insulated GFRC panels was driven by the need for a construction method that ensures both speed and quality. GFRC is known for its lightweight yet durable properties, making it ideal for high-rise buildings where weight reduction without compromising structural integrity is crucial. Each panel, meticulously crafted in Willis Construction’s state-of-the-art production plant, was designed to enhance energy efficiency while providing robust protection against the elements.

One of the standout features of the 1700 Pavilion project is the incorporation of Willis Construction’s design-build services. From the initial design phase to the final installation, our team worked closely with Hart Howerton and Whiting Turner to finalize the exterior skin design. This collaborative approach allowed for an accelerated construction timeline, with the pre-glazed and pre-insulated panels being fabricated and assembled in our production plant before being transported to the site for quick and efficient installation.
